Join us for a day trip on the mighty Athabasca. We will put in at the Snye, paddle to a suitable sandbar for lunch, and continue to our take out at the Bridge to Nowhere just before Fort McKay. More stops can be made to explore and stretch! Plan for a full day on the water.

This is a recreational paddle suitable for paddlers comfortable in Class I moving water.
What to Bring:
Kayak, canoe, or paddleboard (club can supply)
PFD (mandatory, club can supply)
A drybag (preferred, trip leader can supply) or backpack for gear with: food for the full day in waterproof packaging, a change of clothes in case of capsize, extra layers for weather changes (fleece, gloves, toque, rain gear), and insect repellant and sunblock.
A smile and your paddling spirit!
Further nice to have items can be found on the map linked above. The trip leader will carry a first aid kit and a satellite communication device.
