Do you rent/loan out boats and gear?

We do not rent or loan out our club boats for private use due to liability. However, we do have club canoes and kayaks available for member use at club events (based on a first sign-up basis) if you want to participate in a club event but don't have your own boat.

Do you know of any places around town that do rentals?

Our local outfitter, Beyond Adventures, offers kayak, canoe, and paddleboard rentals.

Do you provide lessons, courses, or run day camps?

We do not offer formal lessons. We often work together as a group to work on skills and sometimes organize a group training session for members. Beyond Adventures offers courses locally and there are many excellent outfitters that offer courses in Alberta and Western Canada.

Do you offer guide services? Can our group hire you to take us on a tour?

We don't offer guiding services. If you are new to the area and want to explore you are welcome to join the club and try out a club trip. If you are a group of paddlers from another club and are interested in coming to the area and planning a joint trip with our club, please email us. We love to hear from and meet other paddlers.

Where can I buy a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard?

Locally, Canadian Tire sells boats. Beyond Adventures YMM frequently has paddleboards for sale as well. Also, check Atmosphere or other sporting goods stores. If you are looking for second-hand, your best bet is to watch Kijiji or Facebook Marketplace. You are also welcome to post a looking-for message on our Facebook page.
