Clearwater Float – Draper to the Snye 🛶
Looking for a relaxing evening on the water with great company and beautiful scenery? Join us for the Clearwater Community Float, a laid-back paddling adventure perfect for anyone who enjoys being outdoors and spending time on the river.
We'll meet at Draper and launch onto the Clearwater River, allowing the current to do most of the work as we enjoy a leisurely float downstream toward the Snye. Along the way, we'll connect with paddlers from the Club who have completed their upstream fitness paddle, bringing both groups together for a fun and social journey back to town.
This is not a race and no special paddling skills are required beyond basic comfort on the water. The focus is on enjoying the river, meeting new people, and taking in the natural beauty of the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo.
What to Expect:
• A relaxing downstream float on the Clearwater River
• Minimal paddling effort required
• Beautiful river views and wildlife sightings
• A friendly, welcoming, and social atmosphere
• Great opportunities for photos and making memories
• A perfect way to spend a summer evening outdoors
Whether you're a seasoned paddler or simply looking for a peaceful way to enjoy the water, this event is a great opportunity to connect with the local paddling community and experience one of Fort McMurray's most scenic river routes.
