Poplar Creek Reservoir Flatwater Paddle

Join us for a relaxing flatwater paddle at the beautiful Poplar Creek Reservoir! This outing is perfect for beginner and intermediate paddlers looking to enjoy a peaceful day on the water while exploring one of the region's hidden gems.

We'll launch from the reservoir shoreline  and spend our time paddling calm, sheltered waters surrounded by northern Alberta's natural beauty. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, enjoy the quiet scenery, and take the opportunity to practice your paddling skills in a comfortable environment.

Whether you're looking to build confidence in your kayak or canoe, enjoy some light exercise, or simply spend time outdoors with fellow paddlers, this trip offers something for everyone.

What to Expect:

  • Calm flatwater conditions (weather dependent)

  • Beginner-friendly pace

  • Approximately 2 hours on the water

  • Opportunities to practice paddling techniques

  • Beautiful scenery and wildlife viewing

  • A welcoming and social atmosphere

What to Bring:

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (dress for the water temperature)

  • Personal Flotation Device (PFD) Manditory club can provide if needed

  • Water and snacks

  • Sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses

  • A change of clothes just in case
